Are Our State & County Governments' Data Standards Reprehensible?

The public deserves better.

If taken at face value, the public should be concerned that more voters than are registered; are participating in Wyoming's Elections. One, might wonder, why the primary turnout is, so much, lower than the general turnout; when voter registration between the two elections are, much more, simular.

Data

Data from Wyoming's Elections Office https://sos.wyo.gov/Elections/Docs/VoterProfile.pdf

The primary concern is the footnote.

** This value is reflective of those individuals registered to vote by the close of business on the day before the Primary and General Elections. This number does not include election day registrations which are authorized as per W.S. 22-3-104.

Further, the data from the 2024 Voter Registration Statistics

uses the same pre-election day values.

If the public, the taxpayer, and the voter expects more from our electeds, we may have to tell them. Left to their own standards; we can expect more of the same.
